Some say the scenery north of the border surpasses anything in America. You be the judge on this ride as you travel across the western Washington desert and magnificent Columbia River Gorge to the Idaho panhandle, then follow it north to Banff and Lake Louise. The ride continues north through Jasper, the largest and most northerly Canadian rocky mountain national park, part of a spectacular World Heritage Site before cutting across British Columbia toward Seattle. Stupendous scenery, wildlife, and incredible geological formations await you every day on this exceptional glimpse of the rugged west.
Circle through the heart of Washington from the waters of Puget Sound across the rugged Cascade Mountains and into the high desert climate of the Columbia River Valley. This route is only open in the summer and you will be amazed at the fact that they built a road through the region at all. You will see incredible scenery, North Cascades National Park, uniquely quaint towns -both Western and Bavarian- ride along rushing rivers, and get the opportunity to take a dip in Lake Chelan before returning to Seattle.
If you wondered what the Olympic Peninsula has to offer, try this quick tour around its perimeter. Spend the night at Lake Quinalt Lodge, see the sea-stacks along the wilderness coast, and take in magnificent views of the Olympic Mountains from 5000 feet up on Hurricane Ridge before returning via ferry to Seattle.
Get a glimpse of the Canadian Rockies with this circuitous ride from Kalispell to Banff and Lake Louise then back through Glacier National Park. Cross over the Continental Divide into Canada, swim in hot springs so hot they have to be cooled before you can enter, stay in impressive log cabins, with stops in Lake Louise and Banff, and return via Logan Pass through Glacier National Park.
The ride is almost exclusively done in Canada, heading north along the western edge of the magnificent Rocky Mountains to Kamloops, widely recognized as a freshwater fishing hotspot. You will see glaciers, waterfalls, jagged peaks, narrow canyons, and abundant wildlife as you wind your way through Jasper, the largest and most northerly Canadian rocky mountain national park, part of a spectacular World Heritage Site. Each time you round a bend on this portion of the ride, the scenery will get more spectacular.
See Glacier National Park up close and personal and catch the glories of Yellowstone National Park on this ride through both parks. Nestled high within the rugged, twisted Rockies, yet only 400 miles apart as the crow flies, the roads connecting them promise twists and turns, wildlife, spectacular views, hot springs, and a good idea of life in the wild, wild west.
Journey through the awe-inspiring national parks and monuments of the Grand Circle. This adventure encompasses the Four Corner states of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Stunning imagery takes you on a sojourn from the sweeping desert plateaus to the depths of the magnicficent Grand Canyon, among soaring spires, peaks, and gravity-defying arches to the spritual trails and sacred ruins of the vacant American Southwest.
In a land where bison once thundered across the prairie, modern-day cowboys rumble over the land on iron horses heading to the Mecca of the motorcycling world: Sturgis, South Dakota. One thousand motorcyclists attended the program in the city park during the 1965 rally. Current estimated attendance is 5-600,000 bikes. Right now is your chance to join 5 other bikes plus a guide on the Northwest Motorcycle Sturgis Bike Week Tour. This tour serves as the epitome of a motorcyclists dream, the highlight of a lifetime of riding. Covering 3700 miles, it is for experienced riders. You need to feel like you wear your bike, not just ride it as you will average 350 miles a day. In Sturgis, we will hit all the highlights, including rides to nearby Devils Tower, Mt. Rushmore, the Pigtails, and Spearfish Canyon. You will get to see Deadwood, a goldrush town that attained notoriety for the murder of Wild Bill Hickok. Plus we will visit the Broken Spoke and Full Throttle Saloons, glimpse Buffalo Chip campground famous for the bands that play there, and there will be time to ride and walk the streets of Sturgis both day and night. And that is only part of the story. The ride out there and back picks up Glacier National Park, vacant back roads through the Rocky Mountains, and sights and experiences that rival Sturgis itself. You'll love every minute of it. Join the pilgrimage. Come with us to Sturgis.
